Montessori Programs

The levels usually found in a Montessori school correspond to the developmental stages of childhood.  The age ranges listed below are approximations based on developmental readiness.

Infant

(birth through approx. eighteen months)

Toddler

(approx. eighteen months to three years)

Early Childhood (Primary)

(approx. three to six years)

Lower Elementary

(age six to nine)

Upper Elementary

(age nine to twelve)

Middle School

(7th & 8th Grades)

High School

(9th thru 12th Grades)

At each level, the program and curriculum are logical and highly consistent extentions of what has come before.
