Montessori School of Anderson has two ensemble programs available for its students 4th grade and up.  One is a string ensemble which meets each week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:45 – 8:30.  It currently consists of violins, violas and cellos and is lead by our Suzuki Teacher, Celeste Griffith.  Ms. Griffith has a bachelor of Music Education from Stetson University and a Masters in Music Education from Florida State University.  She performs regularly with GAMAC.

The second opportunity is a wind/percussion ensemble which meets Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30. This presently consists of clarinets, flutes, oboes, saxophones, trumpets, baritone, trombones, horn and percussion.  It is lead by Dr. Donna Maher.  Dr. Maher has a bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music from Arizona State University.  Her graduate degrees, a Master of Music in Woodwind Performance and a Ph. D. in Fine Arts are from Texas Tech University.   She has productively instructed woodwinds, jazz band, music history and instrumental music education courses at the college level and performs regularly with regional ensembles and in recital.
