

Melissa Hightower
Infant/Toddler Program Coordinator
Ms. Hightower began her work at the Montessori School of Anderson in 1996 as an assistant in the toddler classroom. She earned the Montessori Infant/Toddler Associate credential in 2002 from the Center for Montessori Teacher Education (CMTE) in New York. "Ms. Melissa" served as a lead toddler teacher until 2013 when she became the Coordinator of the Infant/Toddler program.

Stacy Singleton
Infant Co-Lead
Ms. Stacy has been at MSA since 2015 and has over 25 years of preschool teaching experience. She graduated from Tri County Tech in 1992 with an Early Childhood Diploma. She loves the "follow the child" Montessori education philosophy. She completed Montessori Beginnings training through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies in 2020.

Leslie Barrett
Toddler One Lead
Mrs. Barrett has worked at Montessori since 2015. She first learned about Montessori while attending school at Greenville Technical College where she received her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development. She strongly believes in the Montessori Philosophy. She has been married to her best friend since 2012, and they have two precious children: a son and a daughter who attend the Montessori School of Anderson.

Corey Rainey
Toddler Two Lead
Ms. Corey began working at Montessori School of Anderson in 2016 after graduating with a dental assistant certification in 2014 and realizing shortly afterward that her passion was working with kids. She enjoys working with the toddlers and seeing all of their accomplishments each day. She completed training through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies for Montessori at the Infant/Toddler level in 2021.

Sheryl Chastain
Toddler Afternoon Assistant
Ms. Sheryl has worked at Montessori School of Anderson since 1991 mostly as a toddler assistant. She loves working with the children and is amazed at all of their accomplishments at such a young age. Her two children and six grandchildren are the light of her world. She loves Montessori and seeing the amazement in the eyes of the children as they learn and grow.

Kimberly Webber
Infant Co-Lead
Mrs. Kim has been at MSA since 2016. She completed Montessori Beginnings training through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies in 2020.

Kacie Chamblee
Infant Assistant
Ms. Kacie joined MSA in 2020 with twelve years of prior childcare experience. Her favorite thing about MSA is working with the infants and toddlers and being part of their development and growth. She completed Montessori Beginnings training through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies in 2021.

Vivian Hooper
Toddler Two Assistant
Mrs. Hooper began working at Montessori School July 2021. After working in the medical field for 42 years, she decided she wanted to work with small children. She is amazed at all the accomplishments. She's so excited to learn more. She has been married for 39 years, and they have one son who lives in Pennsylvania. He has been married for 4 months, and she hopes to have grandchildren one day.

Heather Turner
Toddler Three Assistant
Ms. Turner joined the Montessori School of Anderson in the summer of 2021 with a year of prior experience teaching toddlers. She is currently taking the Montessori Beginnings course and enjoys learning more of the Montessori Philosophy. It brings her so much joy to watch the children grow and learn. During her free time, she loves to explore the mountains with her boyfriend.

Lana Shiflet
Floater
Mrs. Shiflet joined us in 2011. For several years she served as home-school teacher to her son, and also has previous experience teaching in preschool and after-school programs.
