2022-2023 High School Profile and Curriculum Guide

 

One of a limited number of Montessori high schools, the MSA high school program is unique in merging a demanding college-preparatory curriculum with hands-on, inquiry based learning which is carried out with the guidance of faculty members trained in their respective fields. The primary goal of the MSA high school is to motivate talented and eager students to contribute productively to a changing world while maintaining integrity and honor. To this end, students begin their high school career with a wide range of classes where they are exposed to multiple disciplines. These students then narrow their focus in the later years of high school through the dual enrollment programs with Anderson University and Tri-County Technical College where they begin taking courses in 11th grade. In addition to our academic program, high school students participate in community service, work internships, a mock trial team, among other opportunities that vary based on student interest.

 

The Montessori High School enjoys a unique partnerships with nearby Anderson University and Tri-County Technical College. Academically eligible juniors and seniors may take up to 30 semester hours of college courses in the School of Arts and Sciences for dual credit.

 

The graduates of the MSA high school program have gained admission to colleges and universities such a Clemson, University of South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Davidson, Erskine, Wofford,  Alabama, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Loyola, Colgate, Savannah School of Art and Design, University of Illinois, University of Arizona, Auburn College of Engineering, NYU, and many others. These graduates have also received over 1.3 million dollars in scholarship funds for their talents in academics, athletics, and music.
