High School Program
(9th to 12th grade)
One of a limited number of Montessori high schools in the country, the MSA high school program is a unique and challenging college-preparatory curriculum with hands-on, inquiry based learning under the guidance of faculty members trained in their respective fields. The primary goal of the MSA high school is to motivate students eager to contribute productively to a changing world while maintaining integrity and honor. To this end, students begin their high school career with a wide range of classes where they are exposed to multiple disciplines. In addition to our academic program, high school students participate in community service, work internships, a mock trial team, among other opportunities that vary based on student interest.
The Montessori High School is partnered with nearby Anderson University and Tri-County Technical College to offer students dual enrollment options. Academically eligible juniors and seniors may take up to 30 semester hours of college courses in the School of Arts and Sciences for dual credit.
The graduates of the MSA high school program have attended colleges and universities such a Clemson, University of South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Davidson, Erskine, Wofford, Alabama, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Loyola, Colgate, Savannah College of Art and Design, University of Illinois, University of Arizona, Auburn University’s College of Engineering, NYU, and many others. These graduates have also received over 1.3 million dollars in scholarship funds for their talents in academics, athletics, and music.
