We consider playgrounds an extension of a Montessori classroom, as they support the whole-child philosophy. They are a space which fosters independence, sensory exploration, purposeful movement and cognitive development. A playground is where children learn about social collaboration, respect for nature, and let's be honest- get out some of that energy!

We are seeking to upgrade our playgrounds across campus and we would love your support in making that happen!

Thank you to everyone who is participating in Box Tops for Education!  We have earned $63.50 towards our playgrounds so far! Click here to find out about all the ways you can Shop & Support. You can also make a direct donation to this cause here.

School starts back on Monday, August 4. Our school uses a “phase-in” approach to reestablish expectations with returning students so that our new students enter an orderly, respect-filled environment.

During these first days, Grace and Courtesy lessons, a part of the Montessori Peace curriculum, play an important for establishing a peaceful “normalized” community. Grace and courtesy lessons are the foundation for all classroom procedures and include how to greet someone, how to ask a question, how to choose a work, how to stand/walk in line, how to self-serve snack/lunch, how to solve a disagreement, and much more.

With the “phase-in” approach, returning students and new (to the classroom) students attend only on certain days. Please view the Welcome Back Week Opening Schedule here. If you need an overview of the whole school year, you can view the School Year at a Glance here.
